Ed Whitaker has served clients in the insurance and financial services industry since 1979, specializing in retirement and comprehensive financial planning. He is known for a results-driven approach focused on adapting strategies to evolving client goals, market conditions, and tax laws.
Throughout his career, Ed has worked with retirees, business owners, medical professionals, and corporate executives, including individuals from companies such as Caterpillar and Keystone.
In 1997, he established a successful wealth management practice at First National Bank in Tremont, where he led the financial services division. In 2022, he founded Whitaker Wealth Management Services, LLC in Morton, Illinois.
A graduate of Bradley University, Ed holds the CLU®, ChFC®, and LUTCF® designations. He has also been actively involved in his community, serving on several local boards.
Ed and his wife, Kim, have been married since 1979 and have two children and three grandchildren. Outside the office, Ed is an accomplished golfer and Illinois Senior State Amateur Champion.
